| Hurst Life celebrates 100 issues Kipper Life publishes four community magazines, right here in Mid Sussex. It’s unique blend of local business adverts alongside genuinely local content for the village it is delivered to – the monthly free magazines serve the communities of Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks, Cuckfield and Lindfield. In fact, Hurst Life is celebrating it’s 100th issue this month! “We arrived on the Hurstpierpoint scene just over eight years ago, pushing our brand of colourful community magazine through all letterboxes in the village,” editor David Tingley explained. “And I was delighted at the response from residents almost straight away.” Talking about other, similar magazines in the area, David went on: “We are quite different from the competition, and the key difference is that we employ a local editor ‘on the ground’ in each village, to both curate and write fresh content which is specifically relevant to that readership. I am incredibly proud to say that all four titles are very much valued by the communities which they serve.” Each magazine features a reader-submitted cover photo, which not only engages the audience but also affirms the specifically local remit in each area. |
