2024/25 FIXTURES

During our racing season Plumpton Racecourse hosts a variety of thrilling and popular racing events. From our weekend and Bank Holiday feature racedays where we stage some of the biggest jumping events in Sussex and entertainment-packed fun days for all the family to enjoy, we also offer our classic midweek action ideal for corporate days out or entertaining clients.

At Plumpton Racecourse, we offer more than just a day at the races and look forward to sharing our beautiful racecourse with you.

GOING REPORT

Premier Raceday

It’s our biggest weekend of the year and alongside the fantastic family entertainment on offer, we have some high-quality action on the track – it is one not to miss. Each day we have seven races, including the Sussex Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase!.

Last year’s renewal saw Teddy Blue win the Champion Hurdle, trained by Gary Moore and ridden by Jamie Moore. Easter at Plumpton always generates a fantastic atmosphere for all the family to enjoy and there are plenty of activities to keep all ages busy from Funfair to facepainting and inflatable activities.

Alongside the fantastic family entertainment on offer, we have some high-quality action on the track – it is one not to miss.

We have seven races featuring the £50,000 Sussex Champion Chase. Last year’s renewal saw Black Gerry win the Champion Chase, trained by Gary Moore and ridden by Jamie Moore.

Easter always generates a fantastic atmosphere for all the family to enjoy and there is plenty to keep everyone busy, from Funfair to facepainting and inflatable activities.

HOSPITALITY

There are several dining options at Plumpton. Book a box and enjoy a fine dining experience with a view of the home straight. Take a seat in the Paddock restaurant our premier dining option, next to the paddock and opposite the finishing post.

Enjoy the grandstand of the course and enjoy the bars and concessions.

All racegoers have easy access to all 3 of our raceday bars serving a range of national and local drinks, including Harvey’s in the Paddock and Chasers Bars. There is a great selection of local food and in the Southdown Stand, you can get a ‘proper’ coffee alongside some items from a deli style counter. Food concessions will remain at the rear of the Grandstands.

Horse racing and hospitality are natural partners and with 16 great racedays to choose from we have a variety of packages available to create your perfect day at the races.

We take immense pride to work responsibly and sustainably with our catering partner, Strong Flavours.

In our hospitality settings, you will taste locally-supplied foods from many of Sussex’s finest producers.

These include dairy products from High Weald Dairy, artisan chutney’s from Deerview Fine food, fish from Brighton & Newhaven Fish Sales and meat by Dukesmoor who regionally source their meat from the likes of Forge Farm in Tunbridge Wells – which is just 45 minutes from the racecourse!

To accompany your meals, we have a fantastic array of locally-supplied drinks, including Harvey’s Brewery, Long Man Brewery, Slake spirits and Bluebell vineyards, all of which are based in the stunning Sussex countryside.
