EAO Ltd in Burgess Hill is the UK subsidiary of EAO AG a Swiss manufacturer of industrial electrical switches and switch systems and the principal UK representative for Sanyo Denki Co Ltd of Japan.
EAO was founded in 1947 and EAO Ltd in Burgess Hill was established in 1993 from the takeover of the former Highland Electronics Ltd established in 1972.
Although you may not have heard of EAO switches, you will almost certainly have used them as EAO’s round train door switches open the doors on practically every train in the country!
