Aneela Rose Lucie Ager Mary Kemp |
Aneela Rose’s presentation, “Can AI Take Over PR and Marketing?”, captivated a packed room with its mix of expert insights, audience engagement and a personal journey through 20 years of PR and communication advancements. Kicking off with an interactive AI-powered Mentimeter poll, Aneela gauged audience feelings about AI, achieving a remarkable 90% participation rate. She then reminisced about the early days of her PR business, recalling faxing press releases and dial-up internet – a nostalgic moment that struck a chord with the audience. Taking the audience through 20 years of innovation, from the launch of Facebook and smartphones to ChatGPT and today’s AI tools, she emphasised the importance of embracing change. “If my PR agency hadn’t adapted to these advancements, it wouldn’t exist today,” she explained, urging businesses to learn about emerging technologies before making decisions to adopt or reject them. Adding depth to the session, Rose Media Group’s Senior PR Manager, Lucie, showcased two standout PR campaigns which highlighted the irreplaceable value of human intuition and creativity. Lucie demonstrated how personalised pitching and tailored storytelling has led to exceptional results – successes that no AI or robot could replicate. Her examples of the Bears on a pedalo story and The World Needs Underpants campaign reinforced the balance between human expertise and technological support in achieving meaningful impact. Rose Media Group’s AI specialist, Mary, rounded out the presentation with latest insights and practical tips. Delegates left with actionable strategies to harness AI while understanding its limitations in areas that require human connection and creativity. The audience was quick to praise, calling it a “mini TEDx talk” and applauding Aneela’s conversational, emotive and expertly delivered session. While AI is a powerful tool, the heart of PR and marketing lies in human connection, creativity and the ability to tell stories that truly resonate. The presentation left attendees inspired to embrace technology while preserving the irreplaceable human touch at the core of communication. |
